Electrical and Software Engineer, Gamer, Drummer, obsessed with spicy peppers, love craft beer, Star Wars, and a Volkswagen enthusiast (I own a MK7 Golf R and a ’74 beetle).
My name is Corey Shuman and I’m an Embedded Systems Engineer. My adventure in programming has taken me from designing network-monitoring equipment for utility companies to building web-based financial software for school districts. Now I’ve set my sights on robotics; to that end I’m currently working on my Masters in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles. I’m a ruthless problem-solver who won’t stop debugging until I understand the problem and can provide multiple solutions to fix it. One of my favorite problem-solving achievements was when I wrote a software Frequency-shift keying (FSK) demodulator from scratch.
I have a vested interest in the future of technology, the current state of software quality and security in the world concerns me, and I love building new and innovative tools to improve our lives. I love speaking to other technophiles so feel free to reach out to me at the contact info below.
